That's the website for the new wetlands area being built at about 4800 South 
Lake Shore Drive -- right where the Harlequin Duck was recently hanging out.  
It's called the Morgan Shoals project.  

The drawing of what has been approved starts in about the middle of the long 
webpage.

Of special note for birds is the fact that the limited parking should deter 
heavy human use, thus leaving the beach to become good shorebird habitat.  
Birders won't mind the walk from the 47th Street parking lot but families looking 
for a place to party at the beach are more likely to go to the beaches that 
have closer and larger parking lots.

Donald Trump will probably build his new tower faster than it will take the 
various public agencies to build the Morgan Shoals wetlands but the process is 
in motion.
