What: Friends of the Parks, Nature along the Lake
Where: Meet at Corinthian Yacht Club, Montrose Point - Birding at Magic
Hedge
When: This Thursday April 22nd, from 10:30 - 12:30 pm (Birding groups start
at 11)
Details: 5 classes are coming from three elementary schools, each group will
take part in a stewardship activity and one of the activities is bird
watching.
The kids will all be there by 10:30
at 10:45 we will be splitting up into groups for 1/2 hour sessions.
11 - 11:30
11:30 - 12 noon
12 noon - 12:30.
I am looking for a few good birders to help out, as we all know smaller
birding groups are better (Now I have a large group of 25 - if I could get 3
volunteers it would be great!)
The kids know the basics, cardinal, robin, seagull -
What's in it for me, you ask? You will get an Earth Day t-shirt and a free
lunch!!! As well as the opportunity to see some early spring migrants!!
