BCN Friends;

A full day of fun in support of restoring the DNR Budget cuts (funds for
OSLAD/NAAF) is being planned for April 22nd in Springfield. This is under
the auspices of the newly formed coalition, "Partners for Parks & Wildlife,
Coalition to Save Illinois' Nature & Open Spaces". The Bird Conservation
Network is a partner in this group, which now includes over 100 parks,
recreation, outdoor, and conservation organizations.
The agenda for the day follows, and hopefully you can come to Springfield,
meet with your legislator and the governor, and help reverse these proposed
cuts.
Donald R. Dann, President, On behalf of the Executive Committee,
Bird Conservation Network

THE OSLAD/NAAF ACTION DAY AGENDA

9-11am - Supporters will meet at the IEC offices/Vinegar Hill Mall at Cook &
Spring streets, one block south of the Capitol Complex. There supporters
will receive packets for their hometown legislators (we'll be able to look
that up if they don't know), PPW materials and brief instructions and then
sent to the Capitol

10:30am - PPW leadership will hold a press conference in the Capitol Press
Room to announce the coalition and call on the Governor to restore the
funding

12:00pm - RALLY w/legislative and PPW speakers

Later this week we will have this information, plus directions to the IEC
office on our website, www.partnersforparksandwildlife.com.

So, two things:

Let me know if your org would like to utilize an info table on the 22nd
($50);
and
Send me the number of supporters your organization plans on sending to the
OSLAD/NAAF Action Day next Thursday.

Thanks for all of your hard work on this issue!!
