Environmental Educator/Naturalist

Do you love teaching and have a passion for nature? Are you creative, energetic, engaging and genuinely interested in connecting people to the natural world? LakeKatherineNatureCenter and Botanic Gardens is looking for an enthusiastic educator to teach and manage our classes, field trips and programs for children and adults. Preference will be given to applicants who have earned a bachelors degree in biology, ecology, environmental education, general education or other related field; have experience working with children; and a working knowledge of the national and state educational standards in the fields of science and environmental education.Three to five years of related work experience is preferred. Volunteer management, granting writing and reporting and event planning are also important aspects of this position. The ideal candidate will be dependable, responsible and well-organized. Valid drivers license a must.
