Here's a list of some upcoming meetings relating to some timely national
(and some international) bird conservation issues. All appear to be very
worthwhile. The meeting on 3-31 in particular in the House Office Building
in Washington will consider topics that could have a major impact on our
local birds.

Bird Conservation Alliance Meetings
BCA National Meeting in Washington DC
March 31st 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Capitol Hill in the 121 Cannon Room/House Office Building
This meeting will concentrate on in-depth presentations and discussions of
the Endangered Species Act, The Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Act
Reauthorization, and budget/ appropriation impacts on birds and bird
conservation programs. In addition to BCA business and member issues, the
agenda will include workshop sessions of 'Getting the Message Out' and
'Advocacy Tactics'. This meeting will where BCA member organizations will
have a chance to meet with congressional representative staff.

Meeting

Bird Conservation Alliance meeting attendees are welcome to attend the
session on the Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Act and
implementation of SE PIF Conservation Plans from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The BCA
meeting will begin at 5 p.m.

There is no cost to attend the Neotrop session and the BCA meeting. There
is, however, a social event and poster session at 6 p.m., and if you wish to
