Walking along a nature trail,

.Well, it's almost here, on Northerly Island  (formerly Meigs Field).  

Get outdoors and join the Lake Michigan Federation for a kid-friendly
hands-on exploration of the beautiful new park on Northerly Island owned
by the Chicago Park District. Dive into the history of the Chicago
shoreline and discover its possibilities for a future filled with
wildlife and outdoor recreation. Then submit your ideas on how the park
should be designed!

Who: Families and anyone interested in Chicago's shoreline are welcome!
When: Saturday, October 9, 2004, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Where: Meet at the Northerly Island Terminal Building, off of Lynn White
Dr., near Museum Campus. Free parking available! CTA Red Line & Bus
Routes 12, 146 & 127 will also get you there.
