Coincidentally with our thread on this subject, there's been a thread on=20
wisbirdn (the Wisc. IBET) about birds in strange places. Turkeys have been=20
mentioned in several posts, not always with favor. I've pasted one below as=20=
an=20
example.
I believe this point has already been raised in the discussion, but it is=20
very common for 'Wild' Turkeys to encroach into suburban and rural back yard=
s,=20
potentially becoming a pest or nuisance.=20

My first wild turkey for the yard showed up early last summer.=A0 It's been=20
pretty regular since then, almost to the point of annoying.=A0 We're finding=
 turkey=20
turds on our porches, and we often find the turkey up against our windows=20
staring into the house at us.=A0 Not 25 years ago, seeing a turkey in wiscon=
sin was=20
not an easy thing to do.=A0=20
