Hello-
In preparation for construction of a new barrier beach/wetland project, =
the Chicago Park District is going to be undertaking aquatic plant and =
wildlife surveys soon at the Morgan Shoals site on the shore of Lake =
Michigan. This is in the range of 47th - 51st Streets, where you can =
commonly see waves breaking over the shoals near the shoreline. I've =
heard some anecdotal reports of diving ducks at this location, but the =
Federation is looking for any recorded data on birds (or anything else) =
at the shoals to ensure that locally important species are protected and =
enhanced by this project. Please contact me at =
