BCN friends-

If anyone would like a copy of the minutes I just received of the most
recent meeting of the Policy Council of the American Bird conservancy (BCN
is a member), please email me directly.  It would be helpful if you included
a fax #.

These minutes include a very enlightening dialogue between Roger Herrara,
representing the oil companies hoping to drill in the Arctic National
Wildlife Refuge, and Jim Waltman of the Wilderness Society and Patricio
Silva of National Resources Defense Council.

Also in these minutes are a variety of other timely bird conservation topics
including updates on Horsehoe Crabs, Seabird Mortality from Longline
Fisheries, comments from USF&W Service’s division of Migratory Bird
Management, Cats Indoors news, and more.
