Dear friends,
Alan Anderson and I are grateful for all your wonderful nominations for the
CAS awards. It is heartwarming to hear of the many wonderful people out
there helping the environment this past year.
As you know, we can only choose a limited number of winners, and that is
going to be extremely difficult this year. The Board will make its decision
early in January, so if any of you have any more comments, please Email them
to me ASAP. After Dec. 31, we can no longer accept any more nominations.
Also if you want to expound on a person's merits, please do so -- that will
help us. We need specific examples of what these people have done.
I promise you all your past Emails and suggestions are in my Chicago Audubon
Society nomination folder and I have been reviewing them with Alan and the
Board and committee members, etc. It won't be easy to come to an agreement,
but at least this is a great kind of decision to make.
PLEASE SEND ANY THOUGHTS DIRECTLY TO ME AT sdevore@voyager.net, not to any
of these list serves. Also, thank you again for your nominations. I"m sorry
not everyone nominated can win, and if they don't win this year, remember
there's always next year.
In the meantime, be happy that so many people are working behind the scenes
to make our world a little better.
