[BCNnet] Birding Clubs - an Addendum

I guess I would wonder why we need to defend what we are doing, whether it
is deemed by others to be "worthwhile" or if we do  it just for fun?  There
is nothing wrong with either approach, in my opinion, but to feel we have to
be accomplishing something every minute of our lives seems sad to me.

I have become an avid restorationist because of my birding activities but so
what?  If I choose just to take a walk in the park to look at birds, should
I feel guilty that I am not contributing to the "greater good?"  I think
not.
