Research

Dr. Joohee Kim joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Spring 2009. Her research is in the area of image/video signal processing including error-resilient video coding, scalable video coding, distributed video coding, and video transcoding. She also researches wireless multimedia communication including video over wireless networks, error-resilient techniques for video transmission over error-prone networks, joint source-channel coding, multimedia networking and protocols, distributed video coding, distributed resource allocation, and quality of service.
