Free trip to Chicago! – This is your opportunity to meet key industry players, learn more about the future of power & energy, and have the IEEE PES pay for your flight, hotel and food! Six undergraduate Student Ambassadors will lead the social media campaign as we set out to revolutionize the power & energy industry over the next fifty years!

To be considered for the Student Ambassador Program, you must submit the following items one minute before the end of Tuesday, November 12, 2013 (11:59 pm Central Time):

1. Student Ambassador Online Application – Fill out your Student Ambassador Application online. Tell us about your power & energy interests, your planned power & energy courses, and your academic progress (unofficial degree program transcript) so far.
2. One-minute YouTube video – Include a YouTube link to a one-minute video via the online application form. Answer this question: How will your generation impact electric power delivery over the next 50 years? Your one-minute video should be recorded as a self-interview. We've prepared a basic video example to help you get started.

We hope you'll take some time to think about your future and the opportunity to join us as we improve power delivery systems here at home and throughout the world. Check out the eligibility requirements and Student Ambassador role, then collect your thoughts and start recording.

We are asking you to concentrate your video on power delivery because the event in Chicago is focused on electricity transmission and distribution. Of course, there will be big changes in power generation in the future. In fact, our delivery infrastructure needs to be ready to integrate new power generation technology. That's a challenge, especially when combined with new T&D technology, new end-user technologies and the likelihood of tighter constraints. We're focused on the future. Join us in Chicago!
