From the ECE 100 Mailman email list page, you enter your email address, your name (optional if using your "@iit.edu" email, otherwise required), and a password (optional - a random password will be generated for you if you leave this field blank). Then, you click 'Subscribe'.
Within a minute, you should receive an email from ece100-12f-request with 'confirm' in the Subject field. Please read the email carefully. You need to reply to the email to confirm that you really want your email address subscribed to the ECE 100 email list.
Within a minute of replying to the 'confirm' email you should receive an email from ece100-12f-bounces with the following text, among other text:

Your request has been forwarded to the list moderator for approval.
At this point, I will receive an email announcing your intent to subscribe
to the ECE 100 email list. Assuming that your name appears on my class
roster, I will approve your subscription request, typically within a day
of receiving your intent to subscribe.
Once I approve your subscription request, you will receive an email from ece100-12f-request with "Welcome" in the Subject field.
If you have not received the final email with 'Subject: Welcome to the "ece100-12f" mailing list', then please subscribe again and make sure that you reply to the 'confirm' email from ece100-12f-request.
