About the Topic

The protection of personnel from the hazards of electrical arc flash produced by electrical equipment has become a priority for utility, industrial and large commercial facility operators. Mr. Mertz will describe the cause of arc flashes, how to determine the potential severity of arc flash events, and how to protect personnel from arc flash hazards. He will also provide references to OSHA and NFPA documents that have made arc flash hazards a topic of recent concern. A time for questions will follow the presentation.
