Energy Efficient Transformers for Commercial Buildings

Wednesday, November 8, 2000

Steve Wilmes

Square D

About the Topic

Steve Wilmes will discuss the new NEMA TP-1 standard for energy efficient transformers. This standard is a result of a joint effort by manufacturers to develop a transformer design that minimizes transformer losses under actual real world application. The TP-1 standard has been adopted as required by some municipalities. K rated transformers will also be discussed in light of what was learned while developing the TP-1 standard.
