About WiMAX

WiMAX, Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, is expected to be a critical and integral part of the broadband wireless network of the future that will enhance our quality of life, productivity, education, and economic growth. Wireless provides ease of deployment and mobility, while the Internet provides a data pipe with an ever-increasing data bandwidth. The future belongs to a happy union of the two  - Broadband Wireless.

There have been key deployments that highlight the versatility and strength of this technology and the networks at the Illinois Institute of Technology is a prime illustration of the benefits to the end user in multimedia. This conference is focused on sharing the unique deployment and user experience gained and how that experience can be leveraged for future applications of WiMAX. It is intended to bring Chicago and other markets' executives or companies, leaders of organizations, managers of technology, and educators together to learn about the future of communications, the infrastructure and components necessary for WiMAX and its inter-operabililty with existing networks including WiFi, and most importantly, the services and benefits available through this technology to help reach your strategic communication goals.
