The Chicago Audubon Society is pleased to announce its 10th Birding America Symposium, to be held once again at North Park University, on Saturday, March 8 th , 2014. We think that any local birder, whether you are a beginner or an expert, will find this symposium to have many topics that you will be interested in.

We are especially excited to have Steve Kelling of the Cornell Laboratory of Onithology as our keynote speaker. Steve was one of the primary people at CLO to help set up the e-Bird program that so many of us now use to share our bird sightings, and see what others have sighted.

Next during 4 'breakout' sessions, you can choose from 16 wide-ranging topics and speakers, from local to national and world-wide birding locations and specialized topics on birds also.  Included in these sessions are one especially for bird monitors, with Steve Kelling, Judy Pollock and Steve Packard.

The day will end with some fun, as storyteller and humorist Al Batt will present 'A Life Gone to Birds'.

See below for the list of topics and speakers. More information and a registration form are in the January/February 2014 issue of the Chicago Audubon COMPASS
