[BCNnet] FYI: Chicago natural areas protection on July 4th [no sightings]

FYI -

 

The Chicago Ornithological Society has been advised by the Chicago Park
District that they are working with the City of Chicago and the Chicago
Police Department to finalize the protocols for the security of the natural
areas on July 4th.

 

The short version is that they appear to be doing exactly what
conservationists have been requesting: securing the areas with fencing and
personnel, and prohibiting access to the pier (at Montrose - I don't know
about 63rd Street).
