[BCNnet] oppose Lakewood FPD development

Roy Davis, a new bird monitor at Lakewood Preserve in Lake County , invites you to sign an on-line petition opposing the Olympic plans for Lakewood forest preserve - the construction of an equestrian facility on FPD land.  This permanent facility would put a big building on  part of the LCFPD's largest preserve.  The ag field that it is slated for would make great grassland bird habitat, if it weren't developed but instead were converted to grassland- it already has sandhill cranes nesting in a small wetland, according to Ray.
