Hello IMBD enthusiasts,

With the arrival of the new year also comes the excitement of a new IMBD
season! This year, IMBD will be tackling the challenging theme of Climate
Change. Our materials this year will continue to encourage participants to
celebrate birds, while providing information about how climate change
affects them and their habitats.

Artwork for the poster and other materials was created by our 2007 artist,
Louise Zemaitis. She worked with a visual design agency to design this
year's poster, which can be viewed on our website (www.birdday.org).
Posters, T-shirts, and other materials featuring this artwork should be
available soon on both the on-line store and through our catalog. (Not on
our mailing list? Let me know and I will send you one!)

As always, we will keep you posted with ideas on celebrating birds as well
as this year's theme on the website and through these e-mails. Fact sheets
and educational activities which explore the theme of climate change and its
effects on birds will be available soon.

There are so many great resources now about climate change- if you find any
that are especially relevant, informative, or interesting, please let us
know by posting it on this listserve. We look forward to hearing from all of
you!
