I encourage you to check out Audubon's new web page, The State of the 
Birds.  If you looked at the magazine pullout, you will find this very much 
more detailed and interesting.  It has great information from the latest 
national efforts to define the conservation status of birds and to help us 
all to choose the best targets for our efforts.  It really reinforces the 
importance of the work so many of us are doing on grassland birds - and 
encourages us to broaden our focus to shrubland birds.
