Check out the following article in the Chicago Sun-Times today (Monday,
February 17, 2003, page 17):

It mentions what we already knew was eventually going to happen:  that the
city of Chicago is going to be able to purchase this marsh (with help from
the state of Illinois and others).   It also mentions Mike Ward's research
of Yellow-headed blackbirds in the area and state.    The article was
