Hi, birders!

The Chicago Group of the Sierra Club has adopted Montrose Beach under Lake Michigan Federation's Adopt-a-Beach program.

If you've birded at the beach, you know about the trash problem. It would be great if birders would spend a little time giving a little time back to Montrose Beach after all the good birds the beach has provided to you! Bird from dawn to 9:00 and then come on over and lend a hand for as long as you care to.

The Montrose Beach clean-up will take place on August 30 between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Meet at the Montrose Beach beach house (the large white building located on the far east side of the beach). Please bring with you some rubber or plastic gloves, some garbage bags and a pen (to record what you're picking up).
