The Thorn Creek Audubon Society announces its 2002 Small Grants 
Program.  Any individual or organization is eligible and all are invited to 
apply.  Some information is available on TCAS' web site 
http://www.thorncreekaudubon.org and the application and guidelines will be 
available on that site in .pdf format on Mar 10 after 12 Noon.  Application 
materials can also be requested by emailing John Wisnewski (see below) or 
in writing to

         Park Forest, IL  60466

In brief the grant program is for a $500 matching grant for projects that 
exemplify the mission of the Thorn Creek Audubon Society.  The project must 
focus on one (or more) of the following areas:
    * Education
    * Habitat Restoration
    * Preservation
    * Avian or Plant Ecology
    * Demonstration Area
    * Management.
The funded project must also have an outreach component and grant 
recipients are expected to give a presentation to the general membership of 
the Thorn Creek Audubon Society.  There is $2000 available to be awarded to 
projects.

If you are interested please request materials the can be sent either as 
hard copies sent by US Mail or as .pdf files.
