Last Saturday's workday was a another success; we planted about half of the
seedlings we have, but we have more to get in the ground tomorrow. That's
why we need your help October 6th at the Lincoln Park Bird Sanctuary!

It's forecast to be a cool, sunny day, with easy to dig in moist soil. We'll
be planting seedlings and a few shrubs and saplings, so bring trowels and/or
shovels.

We'll be continuing with shrub planting October 13th, if we have lots of
help and can get all our seedlings in the ground tomorrow.

Workdays run from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Work as little or as long as you can - any
and all help in appreciated! We have thousands of seedlings to plant, but
we've pre-drilled the holes (thanks to the Park District for their help with
this!), so the hardest work will be done for you.

As usual, dress for the weather, bring work gloves if you have them (but
don't worry, we have some in case you don't). And bring binoculars for the
migrant birds we'll undoubtedly be seeing.

We'll have refreshments from Ann Sather's. Hope to see you there! If you
need directions, email me and I'll send them along.

Sponsored by the Lake View Citizens Council in cooperation with the Chicago
Park District.
